The course aimed at deepening the understanding of the elements and basics of artistic direction, and defining the functional and aesthetic aspects associated with using graphics publications, as well as introducing quality control procedures and methods of achieving them in addition to emergency and recurrent problems and methods of solving them

MUSCAT------ July 11 2011-----The Arab Omani Management Training Institute, a member of Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Organization (TAG-Org) in cooperation with the Publications and Design Department organized recently a specialized course on "Publications Artistic Direction" in the Omani Capital.

Mr. Mohannad Al-Sheikh, officer of the Design Department at TAG-Org, delivered the course, which was attended by employees of the Ministry of Education.

The course aimed at deepening the understanding of the elements and basics of artistic direction, and defining the functional and aesthetic aspects associated with using graphics publications, as well as introducing quality control procedures and methods of achieving them in addition to emergency and recurrent problems and methods of solving them.

The topics addressed a variety of techniques in the modern design, sorting and directing in addition to the techniques of direction and production and the characteristics of graphic education for publications and theory of colours as well as how to deal with images in the design. They also addressed the preparatory steps of printing and all aspects related to modern techniques of education and publications based on quality management of production.

Mr. Mohamed Bin Khalfan Bin Hamad Al-Shukri, head of Press Department at the Ministry of Education handed over the certificates to the participants who commended the advanced level of information obtained.
