    TAG-KS Organizes “Protect the Environment Day”

     The activities included lectures to raise the awareness of environmental challenges

    AMMAN------- July 24, 2011------- In cooperation with the Royal Society for the Conservation of Nature (RSCN) and Toyota, the Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Knowledge Society (TAG-KS) has recently organized Green Day which members of TAG-KS and others concerned with environmental issues took part in.

     The activities included lectures to raise the awareness of environmental challenges. TAG-KS members were also invited to participate in a competition on environmental issues and awards were presented to the winners.

    In the context of the activities, a volunteer campaign was launched to contribute to the cleanliness of tourist attractions in Jordan, including Oyun Musa (Springs of Moses), near Mount Nebo. A group of TAG-KS members expressed their willingness to engage in this volunteer work to maintain a clean environment.



    Mr. Tareq Hammad, executive director of TAG-KS, stressed the importance of efforts to motivate youth to play a positive role in their communities, in particular as regards the conservation of nature and tourist sites which reflect Jordan’s image to the world. He also emphasized the urgency of continuing these activities, as well as the support of TAG-KS of such campaigns.

    TAG-KS is the latest initiative by Dr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh, Chairman and CEO of Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Organization (TAG-Org), in the spirit of the Organization’s corporate social responsibility towards the Jordanian and Arab communities. TAG-KS serves as a hub for promoting intellect and knowledge, developing Arab youth and human resources, and training the largest possible number of local professionals by providing them, under the direct supervision of TAG-Org experts and exclusive sponsorship by Umniah, with competitive skills through exposure to knowledge and information about developments in the international community.
