Abdullah Ahmad Receives ACPA’s Adel Al-Saadi Award for Excellence;
Abu-Ghazaleh pledges continuous support for outstanding students in all fields

DUBAI ---October 12, 2011 --- HE Dr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh, Chairman of the Arab Society of Certified Accountants (ASCA), presented for the fourth successive year the Adel Al-Sadi Award of Distinction and the Society's Shield to ASCA student Ali Abdullah Ahmad from Yemen, who obtained the top scores in the 2010 round of examinations.

A special ceremony marking this occasion was held on the sidelines of the annual meeting of ASCA that was held in Dubai September 25, 2011.

Abu-Ghazaleh had decided to present this award to the top student of every round of ASCA exams held annually in November, to honor the memory of Mr. Al-Sadi who was one of ASCA’s founding members. The award consists of a cash prize of five thousand dollars and a certificate of distinction. This award is considered one of ASCA’s initiatives presented by its Chairman HE Abu-Ghazaleh, who seeks to disseminate knowledge in the fields of accounting and finance.

ASCA is a non-profit organization established in 1984, with the purpose of qualifying accountants, elevating the accounting profession while preserving its independence and applying professional standards to the discipline.

ASCA is classified as one of seven prestigious international accounting bodies according to a bulletin issued by IAS Plus, which in turn has enhanced the status of the Arab Certified Public Accountant (ACPA) certificate.

HE Dr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh presents the Adel Al-Sadi Award of Distinction to student Ali Abdullah Ahmad from Yemen during the annual meeting of the Arab Society of Certified Accountants (ASCA) held in Dubai.
