DESCRIPTION;ENCODING=QUOTED-PRINTABLE:Announcement     Media Fellowship Program, MFP for Positive Change       The Jordan Career Education Foundation (JCEF) in Amman is accepting applications for the newly established Media Fellowship Program 2012-2013, led by the US-based media communications expert Lars Schwetje. This Program enables young people with basic journalistic, video, design, and social media knowledge to deepen their skills and to learn from mentors in the Jordanian media industry. Additionally, international media experts will train the Media Fellows via online-based conferencing.     The following positions are available for the Media fellowship Program:   - 2 x Content, Article, PR Communications Writers Arabic/English   - 2 x Social Media Communications Positions Arabic/English   - 1 x Cameraman/Videographer   - 1 x Photographer   - 1 x Video Editor/Motion Graphics   - 1 x Graphic Designer/Web Designer   - 1 x Production Manager     Each accepted Fellow of the Media Fellowship Program has the responsibility to make a positive impact on the social economic development of Jordan and train other young people in his/her community.     Media Fellowship Program goals:   • Use media to positively impact communities and the Jordanian economy   • Support the mission of JCEF and work actively on media communications products   • Fellows should gain expert knowledge in the field of media productions, public relations and communications   • Fellows should become entrepreneurs and establish a media company/agency or transition into the media job market in Jordan     Requirements to be accepted into the program:   • Basic media and journalistic skills with a portfolio   • Unemployed and willing to dedicate 2 months of intensive course work training and mentorship by media experts   • 2-3 month internship/work experience with the mentors at their work places   • All Media Fellows are required to work on media initiatives for JCEF for a total of one year after being accepted. JCEF will compensate the Media Fellows through this media training and will pay a monthly fellowship payment.   • Be in the age range of 22-28 years old     Benefits of the Media Fellowship Program:   • Fellows receive expert training from the best media professionals in Jordan and media expert Lars Schwetje   • Fellows are trained by international media experts from around the world via online sessions   • Entrepreneurship training and potential linkage to micro-funding   • Accredited certificate of training from Jordan Career Education Foundation     Deadline for the applications is 5-12-2012.
